Although rare, we’ve seen a handful of dash cams where the rear camera is weather resistant and designed to attach to the rear of the car, close to the license plate. Some models offer a lot of adjustability, while others need to be positioned carefully to get a perfect view out. Rear cameras usually stick to the rear screen with an adhesive pad. ![]() Some two- or three-channel dash cams are powered by the car’s OBD port, which is a more accessible means of delivering constant power. The latter is best installed by a professional.
